Facebook strips down to Lite site

Facebook is among of those providers who offer social networking. This site not only offers microblogging with it but also offers to play games online, so no of users joining this site is increasing from all over the world.Resent researches proved that this is one of the biggest social networking site where registering of new users is rapidly increasing.
So that’s why today Facebook launched Facebook Lite which is available at lite.facebook.com. Initially it is for the users in developing countries and where bandwidth constraints make the current version too slow to use.

Many industry watchers said they believed that even users with good internet connections might well flock to Facebook Lite because of its new look and ease of use. "That is what some US users are planning to do," said Eric Eldon of InsideFacebook.com
This was brought up by Facebook by keeping in mind about the customers outside America. As more than 70% of its 250 million users are from outside America.
There was also a talk around net that Facebook brought up this site, with the success of Twitter and its simple interface, Facebook was under pressure to provide an experience that was quick and simple. Whatever so this simple site loads noticeably faster, easy to navigate and much user friendly and mainly thanks to the lack of invites to join xyz communities or sending you 'virtual booze'. The options on Facebook Lite are limited to letting users write on their wall, post photos and videos, view events and browse other people's profiles. There are no apps or special boxes.
At present this site was limited to users in USA and India only.
The highlights of Facebook Lite:
• You can't share links as in the full-featured Facebook. Status updates are limited to whatever you can type in the box.
• Events are now a top-level navigation item, replacing Friends.
• There is no more Highlights area on the right, but there is a Top Stories option at the top of the news feed. This display replaces the live stream of updates with those Facebook thinks will interest you most.
• There is no chat and there is no longer a toolbar at the bottom of the window. The removal of the sometimes-buggy chat window was surely key to the faster interface.
• Notifications are now listed at the top of the home page and the landing page provides context to each of your notifications so you can see the full conversation.
• There are far fewer images on each page. Friends' comments on status updates and photos don't come with images attached.
• Videos shared open in their native player (i.e. YouTube.com, Hulu.com) instead of playing right in the Facebook interface.
• There are no fan pages and no groups.
Thanks for the Facebook to provide a simple and faster version of it which doesn’t have a noise around (Lite invites or booze messages ). This site will be loved by the users who want a simple microblogging and not for the users who like to have fun by playing different types of games or want to use different application. The users who don’t like this Lite version can switch back to Facebook’s full at Facebook.com.
