Firefox 3.6 first alpha version released for developers and testers

Firefox 3.6, code-named Namoroka the name taken from a national park on the island of Madagascar, has a variety of changes. Among the 3.6 features are faster JavaScript, the Web programming language Firefox executes with its TraceMonkey engine for startup speed tweaks and several under-the-hood changes and also built on very slow-to-change-version-numbers Gecko 1.9.2, rendering engine. some new features for CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)technology for controlling some of the look of a Web site including background size and gradients for background images. And other changes in DOM, CSS, XUL, and plugin development are in the works and a feature called the compositor that handles complicated layout circumstances better. The Windows version of Firefox 3.6 will also support some Windows 7 features, including "Aero Peek," a new addition to the operating system that lets users look behind any open window to see the desktop.
As part of Firefox upgrade program the major ones are as, performance improvements to browser startup, and other tasks likeopening new tabs and loading bookmarked pages. Mozilla also wants to customize browser behavior based on the user's past history, add the ability to search for an existing tab and enhance the browser's built-in download manager to support chores like deleting and moving downloaded files.
Mozilla said, it is going to release first beta version of Firefox 3.6 in early September and a second later that month, then a release candidate would available by mid-to-late October. "Aiming at final release for November 2009,"
