AIGSS now part of Mphasis

AIG Systems solutions a subsidiary company of American International Group an insurance giant is acquired by Mphasis, the Indian services subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard (HP).

This announcement came at early hours of Wednesday and informed to the employees of AIGSS official.

AIGSS is operational at Chennai and Kolkata with more than 800 employees and providing services to AIG companies all over the world. Mphasis is the company having its 39% of revenue from Financial services and Insurance industries.

Gopinathan Padmanabhan, president of the Applications Services Business Unit at Mphasis said that AIG's Indian operation will add expertise in areas of insurance such as personal auto insurance, and retirement products in which MphasiS did not have the expertise.

Addressing to the AIGSS employees in an town hall meeting Ganesh Ayyar, CEO of Mphasis said that Mphasis is going to look forward for the business from AIG by continuing existing business.
